Wazakura Japan (Hanafubuki) collaborates with Japanese craftsmen to bring authentic bonsai tools, ikebana flower scissors, and accessories to the world. All of their products are 100% made in Japan.
The company works with small blacksmith shops in Sanjo-city, Niigata, which has a rich history of over 100 years in blacksmithing. In the early 17th century, Sanjo's magistrate invited blacksmiths from Edo (the capital) to the area and introduced nail spike making as a supplemental income source for local farmers struggling due to frequent storms and floods. The production line was later expanded to include saws, hatchets, and farming tools. By the late 19th century, sickles, cutlery, knives, and saws became the main products of Sanjo's blacksmiths, a tradition they continue to this day.
The Traditional Bonsai Scissors are a sturdy and very sharp tool, ideal for bonsai, ikebana flower arrangement, roses, plants, vegetables, fruits, and gardening work. Their traditional "butterfly" shaped design is the most common bonsai tool in Japan. These scissors provide a clean cut that won't hinder the growth of your plants by damaging their branches.
The Sap Eraser is a useful tool for maintaining your gardening blades. It can remove sap, rust, and stains that may accumulate on the blades. The eraser can be cut with a cutter knife to reshape it before use. To use, simply rub it on the blades to remove sap and rust, then clean with a dry cloth and apply a few drops of oil to protect the tools.
This Bonsai Tool Care Kit comes in a beautiful gift box, making it a great Christmas or birthday present for your loved ones.
